A modern cabin with cathedral ceilings, log beams, hardwood floors and wood-paneled walls, Closer to Home has the ambiance of a rustic lodge. Ideal for large families, groups of friends or even corporate retreats, this two-level home offers multiple living spaces decks, a furnished deck on each level, and accommodations for up to 14 guests.
An open floor plan on the main level creates a seamless flow between the great room, kitchen and dining area, with natural light flooding the space through floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors, which lead to an expansive, wrap-around deck. In the great room, a full-length leather sofa offers a front-row seat to the large-screen TV, while two cozy armchairs invite you to curl up by the stacked-stone fireplace.
The adjacent 10-seat dining table offers dinner with a view, overlooking the deck and mountains beyond through a wall of glass. You’ll find three additional seats at the kitchen breakfast bar. Fully equipped with modern appliances, granite countertops and a spacious island, the kitchen is sure to inspire home-cooked meals. A charcoal grill on the front porch will broaden your menu, while two log picnic tables -- one on the upper deck and one in the front yard -- invite you to dine al fresco.
On the lower level, a second living area offers evening entertainment with two plush sofas, a second fireplace, and a flat-screen TV with cable. Sharpen your pool game on the full-sized table or bring your favorite board games to enjoy a screen-free night around the card table.
All bedrooms also feature a ceiling fan, high-definition TV, en-suite bath and ample storage. Two primary suites feature king-sized beds, while the guest bedrooms each have two queen-sized beds, sleeping four in each room. A queen sleeper sofa offers additional accommodations for two.
As a guest of Closer to Home, you’ll also enjoy the convenience of a private washer and dryer, and a private, over-sized hot tub on the lower deck with room for up to six people. You’ll also have access to the amenities of Black Bear Falls Log Home Community, including a clubhouse with heated adult and children’s swimming pools, available for summer use. After a swim, lounge on a poolside chaise or retreat from the sun at a table on the covered patio.
For adventures beyond your mountaintop perch, take advantage of ample parking to explore the surrounding area, including the Great Smoky Mountains National Park Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster, family-friendly restaurants and more, all within a 15-minute drive.
This cabin has parking for 2 vehicles. We cannot accommodate RV parking at this home.
Please note that pets are not allowed in this home. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to rent this property.
