Overview

No expense was spared in creating a gorgeous vacation escape. At the center of the home is the custom live-edge dining table that seats eight adults. Each of its three spacious bedrooms features a king-sized bed, 50" Smart TV w/cable and its own elegant full bath, creating three separate guest retreats. Situated on the Kona Country Club golf course in the private gated community of Holua Kai, Island Time provides peekaboo ocean views from the primary bedroom and back yard.

The home's open-concept great room boasts vaulted ceilings and clean lines, thoughtfully appointed with ample seating, a 65" Smart TV, Cable, DVD player with a full library of DVDs and a Sonos surround sound system. Its well-equipped "Chefs" kitchen includes an expansive island, top of the line amenities, Cutco cooking utensils and GE Stainless Steel Monogram appliances. Central air conditioning, spacious rooms, stylish finishes, a half-bath convenient to the living space, wireless internet and a washer/dryer to ensure total comfort.

With floor to ceiling glass pocket doors across the back of the house, the living quarters at Island Time flow out to a large covered lanai, with areas for lounging and open-air dining for a true Hawaiian indoor to outdoor experience. Just beyond, the pool and spa have been fenced in for privacy, and a built-in gas barbecue grill offers an additional option for meals at home. Guests are welcome to park in the private 2-car garage. When it's time for a trip to the beach, guests will appreciate the availability of towels, chairs, an umbrella, cooler, boogie boards, sand toys and games.

A 10-minute walk from this luxury Kona vacation rental on the Big Island leads to Keauhou Bay, which provides a unique opportunity to swim with manta rays. A short drive leads to other stunning beaches, such as White Sands, Kua Bay, and Makalawena. Guests will find shops, restaurants, and a movie theater less than two miles away at Keauhou Shopping Center, as well as additional shopping and dining in nearby Kona Town. Island Time also allows easy access to attractions such as the Kealakekua Bay marine sanctuary, championship golf courses, and opportunities for hiking, snorkeling, diving, and deep sea fishing.

Please note that 7 private tennis and 20 pickleball courts are available for guest use for an additional fee. Of those facilities, 5 tennis courts and 8 pickleball courts have lights. Court Rentals are $25/hour per court for non-members. If you'd like to become a member of the Holua Kai community, the court rental fee will be waived. To book a private tennis or pickleball court, guests may call or text Holua Kai's shop phone, and let them know of the day and time you are planning to play. A member of Holua Kai's community team will let you know which court(s) are available.

Drop-in, Open Pickleball Play Schedule @ Holua Racquet and Paddle: Every drop in play is open to members and non-members alike. Non-members pay $10/person for each open play they join. For example, if you play in the 8 AM open play and pay $10/person, an additional $10/person for the afternoon play will apply. However, the Holua Kai community offers weekly, monthly, and more membership rates. If interested, please contact Holua Kai's shop for applicable rates.
