Overview

Bay Area architect Curt Cline used expansive floor-to-ceiling glass, open living spaces, and strong indoor-outdoor connections to keep the ocean present throughout the home.

Nearly 70,000 square feet of grounds and undeveloped land bordering the property create an unusual sense of privacy along the Kohala Coast. A 25-meter infinity pool stretches toward the horizon, while more than 3,400 square feet of covered lanai provides generous space for dining, lounging, and outdoor cooking.

Four ensuite bedrooms are arranged across the residence and connected guest wing, which also includes an office, second kitchenette, and additional laundry. A private elevator, ten-seat theater, ping-pong lounge, and bocce court make the home particularly well suited to extended families and multigenerational stays.

Living and Dining
The main living space runs the full width of the home behind a wall of glass that opens to the lanai. The dining table seats 12 indoors. Outside, a covered dining table seats 12 with plush lounge seating for at least 10 more.

Separate gathering areas allow a larger group to spread out comfortably. The ping-pong lounge offers a casual place for games and television, while the dedicated ten-seat theater provides reclining seating for movies, concerts, and sporting events.

Kitchen and Outdoor Cooking
The main kitchen centers around a wide island with seating for four and is equipped for both everyday meals and larger gatherings. Appliances include a Wolf range, dual Sub-Zero refrigerators, Sub-Zero wine refrigerator, and a full complement of small appliances.

On the lanai, a built-in outdoor kitchen includes a Lynx gas BBQ and Lynx gas pizza oven, positioned alongside the primary outdoor dining and lounge areas.

Pool, Lanai, and Grounds
The 25-meter infinity pool is the focal point of the outdoor experience. An acrylic panel at the ocean end visually connects the pool with the Pacific beyond.

The covered lanai spans approximately 3,415 square feet, with dining for 12, and generous lounge seating. A private bocce court sits on the lawn nearby.

For time on the water and at the beach, the home includes four single-person kayaks, snorkel sets, boogie boards, beach chairs, an umbrella, towels, cooler, and beach bag.

Puako and the Kohala Coast
Puako offers something increasingly rare on the Kohala Coast: a quiet oceanfront residential community removed from the activity of the major resorts, yet close to many of the coast's best beaches, golf courses, restaurants, and resort amenities.

The community follows a roughly two-mile beach road bordered by the Pacific and historic coastal wetlands. Offshore reefs and tide pools make this part of the coast especially rewarding for snorkeling and exploring the shoreline, while clear nights often provide exceptional stargazing.

Hapuna Beach and the Mauna Kea Resort area are a short drive away, with additional dining, golf, shopping, and beaches throughout the Kohala Coast. Kona International Airport is approximately 30 minutes south, depending on traffic.

Good to Know

• During the IRONMAN World Championship on Sat, 10/10/2026, significant road closures and traffic delays are expected throughout the Kona and Kohala areas. Guests traveling during this period should plan accordingly.
• Pool safety fencing is installed as standard and may be removed on request.
• Kayaks are provided at no charge and should be requested in advance of arrival.
• The shoreline directly in front of the property consists primarily of lava shelf and tide pools rather than a sandy swimming beach.
• Exterior security cameras are covered and inactive during guest stays.
• Stays of 14 nights or longer require a mid-stay cleaning.
• A private elevator connects the garage with the main living level.
